In commemoration of National Santri Day, the Indonesian Muslim community in Taiwan held a Grand Islamic Study (Pengajian Akbar) in Changhua on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The event featured KH. Aunullah and H. Komeng as the main speakers.
About National Santri Day
National Santri Day is observed every October 22 as a tribute to the role of santri (Islamic boarding school students) in Indonesia’s history of struggle. In Taiwan, this commemoration serves as a moment to strengthen brotherhood and the spirit of Islam among the diaspora.
Speakers
- KH. Aunullah : A scholar who delivered a tausiyah on the role of santri in strengthening faith and the contribution of Indonesian Muslims abroad.
- H. Komeng : A prominent figure who shared inspiration and motivation for the Muslim community in Taiwan.
Event Program
- Tausiyah & Silaturahmi : Islamic study material relevant to Muslim life abroad.
- Communal Dhikr & Prayer : A session of dhikr and prayer for collective blessings.
- UMKM Bazaar : Supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises of the Indonesian community in Taiwan.
The committee invites all Indonesian Muslims in Taiwan, especially those in the Hsinchu, Taichung, Changhua, and surrounding areas, to attend with their families.
