Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Hsinchu Islamic Association (HIA) welcomed a new member who embraced Islam on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Mr. Wu Shang-Hao officially recited the two shahadah declarations at Mushola Hsinchu, marking the beginning of his new spiritual journey as a Muslim.
The shahadah ceremony took place in the main hall of Mushola Hsinchu, adorned with the Jama’ah Yasin backdrop. The event was led by HIA committee members and witnessed by worshippers who came to offer their moral support.
Mr. Wu Shang-Hao, a local Taiwanese resident, recited the two shahadah declarations with sincerity: “Asyhadu an laa ilaaha illallah, wa asyhadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah” (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).
After the shahadah, HIA committee members presented a new Muslim certificate and an Islamic guidance book in Mandarin to Brother Wu. This official documentation is important for administrative purposes and as a welcome into the great Muslim family.
HIA is committed to guiding Brother Wu in his journey as a Muslim, including guidance in basic worship (wudhu, prayer, fasting), Quran reading lessons, Islamic consultation, and integration into the Hsinchu Muslim community.
A Message for Our New Brother
Welcome, Mr. Wu Shang-Hao. May Allah grant you ease, guidance, and blessings in every step. Aamiin. Islam teaches that a new convert (mualaf) is like a newborn; all sins are forgiven. This is an opportunity to begin a new chapter with a pure heart.
Appreciation
HIA expresses gratitude to all parties who have helped in the dawah process and accompanied Brother Wu until he decided to embrace Islam. May this become a ceaseless amal jariyah (ongoing charity).
